LunarCrush, a platform that utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze digital assets, has unveiled the list of Top 10 Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network (DEPIN) Projects based on social activity. Social Activity consists of Engaged Posts and Interactions. These two measures are used to check the Social activity of cryptocurrencies. Chainlink ($LINK) leads the Top 10 DEPIN Projects by social activity.

In this ranking list, Chainlink ($LINK) dominates the market with 7.5K Engaged posts and 2.9M Interactions. Simultaneously, Bittensor ($TAO) is the runner-up in this race with 7.3K Engaged Posts and 608.6K Interactions. This small difference of 0.2K in Engaged Posts between these DEPIN Projects shows that both are still in demand in the crypto market. Phoenix Group has released this news through its official X account.

ICP Dominates DEPIN Social Buzz as Render and Zebec Show Strong Market Presence

Internet Computer ($ICP) and Render ($RENDER) got third and fourth position with 4.0K and 2.3K Engaged Posts, respectively. These DEPIN Projects show a significant difference in terms of Engaged Posts, about 1.7K. While moving to Interactions, the difference got hype to 643.6K. So, $ICP stands with 862.8K, and $RENDER at 219.2K in Interactions, respectively.

Moreover, two more DEPIN projects got Posts in hundreds by social activity. In this, the first one is Zebec Network ($ZBCN), gained 1.5K Engaged posts and 214.3K Interactions. Zebec Network ($ZBCN) wins with the difference of only 0.1K to its nearest DEPIN project, Oasis ($ROSE). Further, the next one is Oasis ($ROSE), positioned itself with 1.4K Engaged Posts and 202.2K Interactions surviving in the market.

$ATH and $FIL Dominate Interactions While SC and EGLD Trail Behind

Aethir ($ATH) and Filecoin ($FIL) observed very close to each other in terms of Engaged Posts, with 1.1k and 843, respectively. So, the difference between these DEPIN projects is 257. But, they show a huge difference in terms of Interactions, which is about 63.9K, and in this way, ($ATH) is placed with 63.9K and ($FIL) with 127.8K in Interactions.

In addition, there are two DEPIN projects that remained at the end of this ranking list. Siacoin ($SC) and MultiversX ($EGLD) got second last and last position, respectively. In this race, both DEPIN Projects got 852 and 746 Engaged Posts, and 37.9K and 66.0K Interactions, respectively.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
