Vitalik: DeFi remains a core component of Ethereum's value.

PANews reported on February 25th that Vitalik Buterin stated that DeFi remains one of Ethereum's core values, and EF will focus on supporting global financial infrastructure that prioritizes "few permissions, open source, privacy protection, and security." EF's focus areas include: improving security through auditing, standards, and wallet-side protection; introducing AI-assisted formal verification and user agent protection; strengthening oracle security and decentralization; promoting privacy payments and privacy CDP scenarios; and improving open-source licensing and forkability. EF stated that it will not indiscriminately support all "onchain finance," but will only collaborate with DeFi partners committed to reducing centralized trust and improving user asset control and risk management capabilities to build an ecosystem.
