Denver residents were surprised — and some delighted — this week after hackers took over crosswalks with a vulgar anti-Trump message.
The robotic voice was heard over the weekend at a series of new crosswalks, which apparently had a password that was easy to figure out, according to CBS Colorado. The passwords have apparently since been changed.
When locals tapped the push button, they heard “The walk signal is on, f---Trump," HuffPost reported. The robotic voice also had a message accusing Trump of causing the deaths of children, which was a likely comment on the strike on an Iranian school that killed 175 people. Most of them were children.
“I was surprised, I had to gather myself and think, ‘Did I really hear that?’” Denver local Damian Meldgaard told CBS Colorado. “And then I was enamored. I loved it, it made my day, it was absolutely what I wanted to hear. I kinda wanted my own recording just for my own personal sense of self-satisfaction.”
