The case for the right answer began quietly.

At one table, someone had already written something down. Across the room, another team was still weighing their options.

“Are you sure?”

“Is that the latest statistic?”

That moment, half confidence and half second-guessing, pretty much summed up the energy at #WattDoYouKnow, a quiz night hosted by Rappler and powered by AboitizPower, held at the Engkanto Taps in NBS Park, Mandaluyong.

The event gathered professionals and students from the energy sector, who, on most days, exchange ideas through reports, meetings, and forums. But for one evening, the setting felt pleasantly removed from the usual rhythms of industry gatherings. Instead of panel discussions and fireside chats, there were trivia questions.

#WATTDOYOUKNOW IN ACTION. Participants dive into the fast-paced rounds of the quiz night.

The quiz ranged from the fundamentals of electricity to current events in the energy sector, with the occasional pop culture references thrown in for good fun (Volta, anyone?).

For readers curious how they might have fared, some of the questions from #WattDoYouKnow are embedded in the quiz below.

By the end of the night, three teams had moved ahead of the rest. TransCo (National Transmission Corporation), the agency that holds the country’s transmission assets, took home the championship, followed by LasEng, composed of engineering professionals and students from De La Salle University, and Suns of Anarchy, whose members came from the European Chamber of Commerce.

QUIZ NIGHT CHAMPIONS! Team TransCo holds on to the trophy as they take home the top prize. SECOND PLACE. Team LasEng puts up a strong showing across the quiz rounds. THIRD PLACE. Suns of Anarchy secures a spot on the podium after a competitive night.

Still, the evening felt less about competition and more about the experience itself: an opportunity for people who usually meet in formal settings to engage in a more relaxed and casual setting.

The fund’s primary goal is to expose investors to the most significant digital assets in the market without requiring them to buy, store, or secure the coins directly. In July, the SEC delayed its decision to convert GDLC from an OTC fund into an exchange-listed ETP on NYSE Arca, citing further review. However, the latest developments raise investors’ hopes that a multi-asset crypto ETP from Grayscale will soon become a reality. Approval under the Generic Listing Standards will help “streamline the process,” opening the door for more crypto ETPs. Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and ADA investors are the most…
