The post Why Is The Market Down Today—Bitcoin Near $85,000, XRP At $1.85, Digitap ($TAP) Becomes Best Crypto Presale 2026 appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News

Top cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC) and XRP have plummeted following the Bank of Japan’s tightening of financial policy. Consequently, savvy investors are hedging against further losses by seeking high-potential altcoins to buy. However, this has proven challenging as most of the crypto market is bleeding.

To this end, investors are migrating to the Digitap ($TAP)crypto presale. Digitap is an upcoming Web3 project that aims to improve global payments by bridging the gap between crypto and fiat currencies. Apart from its bold mission, Digitap is attracting investors through its Christmas promotion, which offers exciting gifts.

Continue reading to discover why Digitap has emerged as the best crypto to buy now while top cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and XRP slump.

BoJ Hikes Rates: Leading Cryptos Plummet

The Bank of Japan (BoJ) tightened its financial policy on December 19, raising interest rates by 25 basis points. This move brought the new interest rate to 0.75%, the highest level in 30 years. In turn, investors who had borrowed the yen at lower rates to buy high-yield assets were forced to close their positions.

This resulted in Bitcoin slumping below the $85,000 support level briefly before recovering. By December 21, Bitcoin had stabilized at around $87,958. This price represents a 1% weekly drop.

Moreover, the drop is likely to continue, as Bitcoin’s MACD (12, 26) suggests selling. This means BTC will likely retest the $85,000 support level in the short term before revisiting the $90,000 resistance level. With such a bleak outlook, it is evident why investors are searching for altcoins to buy to hedge against further losses.

The BoJ’s interest rate hike also affected top altcoins such as XRP. On December 19, XRP plummeted below $1.80, hitting a weekly low of $1.77. Like Bitcoin, XRP quickly rebounded. As of December 21, XRP had stabilized at around $1.90.

XRP’s current price denotes a 4% weekly drop. What’s more, XRP’s technical indicators point to a growing selling force. Specifically, the 50-day moving averages are falling, indicating a weakening trend. As such, XRP will likely plunge toward the $1.84 support level in the short term rather than climb to the $2.00 resistance level.

Digitap’s Omnibank Gains Investor Confidence

As leading cryptos like Bitcoin and XRP continue to battle headwinds, investors are migrating to Digitap. This emerging Web3 platform is attracting hordes of investors due to its mission to transform global payments by bridging the gap between DeFi and TradFi.

Digitap achieves this feat by supporting crypto and fiat payments through its omnibank platform. This platform is currently available on Android, iOS, and desktop. Notably, Digitap boasts a no-KYC policy during registration. This enables any of the 1.4 billion unbanked people worldwide to access banking services.

Visa-Linked Cards And Banking Partners Simplify Payments

After onboarding, investors can complete KYC checks to secure Digitap’s Visa co-branded virtual and physical cards. Virtual cards come in handy for investors looking to spend crypto anonymously, while physical cards support in-store purchases and withdrawals at ATMs. This takes crypto spending to the next level.

On top of this, Digitap’s high-potential crypto presale has caught investor attention due to the ongoing Xmas promotion, which kicked off on December 13 and runs through December 24.

Digitap Is Offering Exciting Prizes During Its Christmas Offer

Digitap is currently proceeding with its 12 Days of Christmas Holiday Drop promotion. During this promotion, Digitap will drop a new offer every 12 hours, giving investors a chance to win big.

Prizes to be won include $TAP bonuses as well as Premium and PRO accounts. After this offer, Digitap will introduce another offer between December 24 and 26, dropping a mega offer daily. To bridge 2026 and 2027, Digitap will drop a mini offer from December 26 to January 1.

UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach

The post UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The UK and US are reportedly preparing to deepen cooperation on digital assets, with Britain looking to copy the Trump administration’s crypto-friendly stance in a bid to boost innovation.  UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent discussed on Tuesday how the two nations could strengthen their coordination on crypto, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.  The discussions also involved representatives from crypto companies, including Coinbase, Circle Internet Group and Ripple, with executives from the Bank of America, Barclays and Citi also attending, according to the report. The agreement was made “last-minute” after crypto advocacy groups urged the UK government on Thursday to adopt a more open stance toward the industry, claiming its cautious approach to the sector has left the country lagging in innovation and policy.  Source: Rachel Reeves Deal to include stablecoins, look to unlock adoption Any deal between the countries is likely to include stablecoins, the Financial Times reported, an area of crypto that US President Donald Trump made a policy priority and in which his family has significant business interests. The Financial Times reported on Monday that UK crypto advocacy groups also slammed the Bank of England’s proposal to limit individual stablecoin holdings to between 10,000 British pounds ($13,650) and 20,000 pounds ($27,300), claiming it would be difficult and expensive to implement. UK banks appear to have slowed adoption too, with around 40% of 2,000 recently surveyed crypto investors saying that their banks had either blocked or delayed a payment to a crypto provider.  Many of these actions have been linked to concerns over volatility, fraud and scams. The UK has made some progress on crypto regulation recently, proposing a framework in May that would see crypto exchanges, dealers, and agents treated similarly to traditional finance firms, with…
