The 83-year-old Democrat has not appeared in committee meeting footage for Transportation and Infrastructure or Education and Workforce since her last vote, according to The New Republic. However, her social media accounts remain active with posts using recycled photos from October events, according to Capital Hill correspondent Jamie Dupree's post on X, creating the appearance of ongoing constituent engagement.

Another member of Congress mysteriously disappears

Wilson is currently seeking re-election to her 24th Congressional District seat representing Miami-Dade and Broward County, facing an August 18 primary challenge from small business owner Christine Sanon-Jules Olivo.

The absence parallels recent cases of missing lawmakers: Rep. Thomas Kean (R-NJ) was eventually found dealing with an unspecified personal health matter, and Rep. Kay Granger (R-TX) was discovered undergoing dementia care at an assisted living facility before her 2024 retirement.
