Zcash (ZEC) Jumped 27%, but Have You Joined Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP)’s 200K+ Whitelist Yet?

2025/11/25 01:00

Privacy coins are back in focus, with Zcash (ZEC) making a strong return. Its 27% surge has pushed it back into the top 20 by market cap, reigniting demand among traders and institutions looking for confidentiality and data protection. Meanwhile, Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) has taken the spotlight as its whitelist goes live, marking it as the next major privacy-led blockchain ecosystem set for global attention.

Both ZEC and ZKP symbolize the evolution of privacy technology, one laying the foundation, the other redefining it. As investors explore the best crypto to buy for 2025 and beyond, these two projects are shaping what privacy in the next market cycle could look like.

Zcash’s 27% Surge: Strength, Usage, & Institutional Interest

Zcash’s latest move reflects a broader rebound in the privacy sector, which has grown nearly 80% in market capitalization in recent weeks before it dropped to $550 at the time of writing, according to TradingView. ZEC’s price has broken key resistance points, signaling renewed bullish sentiment and reaching highs not seen since 2018.

Data from CoinMarketCap shows over 4.5 million ZEC now stored in shielded (private) addresses, proof that users are actively choosing confidential transactions. This strengthens Zcash’s position as the leading privacy coin, balancing compliance transparency with real privacy.

Institutional confidence is also rising. Arthur Hayes’ family office recently disclosed holdings in ZEC, lending credibility and visibility to the project. This mix of real-world use and institutional backing gives ZEC a stronger foundation beyond short-term speculation.

Still, regulatory scrutiny remains a hurdle. Privacy assets face challenges such as delisting risks and AML/KYC compliance pressure. Yet this scrutiny may actually drive adoption, when privacy becomes harder to access, demand for it tends to grow.

Zcash Price Prediction 2026: Where Privacy Could Go Next

Analysts outline three possible Zcash price prediction scenarios for 2026:

Base Case (Moderate Growth):

If adoption and shielded pool use continue, ZEC could trade between $800 and $1,200 by late 2026, assuming steady growth and a cooperative regulatory environment.

Bullish Case (Global Adoption):

If privacy coins become mainstream and institutions embrace them, ZEC could reach $1,500 to $2,000+ by 2027. Technical improvements and expanding usage could fuel this climb.

Bearish Case (Regulatory Setback):

If strict regulations persist, ZEC might drop to the $350–$500 range but remain a strong long-term contender in the privacy sector.

Even conservatively, ZEC’s long-term outlook remains positive, especially as privacy takes center stage in DeFi and enterprise solutions.

Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP): Whitelist Open for Privacy’s Next Chapter

While Zcash established blockchain privacy, Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) is defining its future. Its whitelist is now open, attracting more than 200,000 sign-ups within 24 hours, an early sign of its growing momentum.

ZKP builds upon zero-knowledge cryptography, the same foundation Zcash uses, but scales it to cover verifiable computation, AI, and enterprise data privacy. Backed by a $100 million pre-launch investment, the project already has functioning infrastructure before its token auction begins.

Its Initial Coin Auction (ICA) introduces daily proportional token allocations, offering a transparent and fair model that avoids insider concentration. This structure, paired with its privacy-plus-AI vision, positions ZKP among the best crypto to buy in 2025.

Analysts expect ZKP to ignite a new privacy-and-AI wave in blockchain. By proving computations without revealing private data, it can support confidential DeFi platforms, compliant enterprise systems, and secure AI training environments.

Zcash & ZKP: Linking the Past and Future of Privacy

Zcash and Zero Knowledge Proof together represent a full-circle privacy evolution. Zcash proved that confidentiality could coexist with blockchain transparency. Now, ZKP expands that principle, integrating verifiable AI and enterprise-grade data privacy into the same framework.

For investors, this combination presents a dual opportunity: Zcash provides proven credibility in privacy coins, while ZKP offers exposure to the next phase, scalable, proof-based privacy infrastructure. As global awareness of data protection grows, these two ecosystems are positioned to lead blockchain’s next transformation.

Key Insights

The Zcash price prediction for 2026 remains encouraging, with potential targets between $800 and $1,200 in the base case and $2,000+ in the bullish case. ZEC’s expanding shielded pool and institutional backing indicate sustained momentum.

At the same time, Zero Knowledge Proof (ZKP) stands out as the best crypto to buy as its whitelist fills rapidly. Its $100 million infrastructure build and fair auction model suggest a long-term privacy-first vision backed by real technology.

For forward-thinking investors, ZEC and ZKP represent a powerful pairing: Zcash for proven privacy and Zero Knowledge Proof for the next era of trust, AI, and verifiable computation.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…

BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models

The post BlackRock boosts AI and US equity exposure in $185 billion models appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. BlackRock is steering $185 billion worth of model portfolios deeper into US stocks and artificial intelligence. The decision came this week as the asset manager adjusted its entire model suite, increasing its equity allocation and dumping exposure to international developed markets. The firm now sits 2% overweight on stocks, after money moved between several of its biggest exchange-traded funds. This wasn’t a slow shuffle. Billions flowed across multiple ETFs on Tuesday as BlackRock executed the realignment. The iShares S&P 100 ETF (OEF) alone brought in $3.4 billion, the largest single-day haul in its history. The iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) collected $2.3 billion, while the iShares US Equity Factor Rotation Active ETF (DYNF) added nearly $2 billion. The rebalancing triggered swift inflows and outflows that realigned investor exposure on the back of performance data and macroeconomic outlooks. BlackRock raises equities on strong US earnings The model updates come as BlackRock backs the rally in American stocks, fueled by strong earnings and optimism around rate cuts. In an investment letter obtained by Bloomberg, the firm said US companies have delivered 11% earnings growth since the third quarter of 2024. Meanwhile, earnings across other developed markets barely touched 2%. That gap helped push the decision to drop international holdings in favor of American ones. Michael Gates, lead portfolio manager for BlackRock’s Target Allocation ETF model portfolio suite, said the US market is the only one showing consistency in sales growth, profit delivery, and revisions in analyst forecasts. “The US equity market continues to stand alone in terms of earnings delivery, sales growth and sustainable trends in analyst estimates and revisions,” Michael wrote. He added that non-US developed markets lagged far behind, especially when it came to sales. This week’s changes reflect that position. The move was made ahead of the Federal…
