$0.035 DeFi Token Is Outpacing Larger Caps Like ETH and BTC

Crypto Projects

Large-cap assets like Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC) continue to dominate headlines, especially with growing interest around a crypto ETF and institutional exposure.

However, history shows that the biggest percentage gains rarely come from assets that have already matured. Investors searching for the next big crypto often look toward early-stage projects with strong fundamentals, real utility, and accelerating adoption.

In that context, Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is increasingly being compared to how early DeFi platforms once outpaced giants before becoming widely recognized. Right now, Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is in presale phase 6, which places it at a very different growth stage than ETH or BTC. While those networks already command massive market caps, Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is still building its ecosystem, creating room for outsized growth driven by actual platform usage rather than speculation.

Mutuum Finance (MUTM) Presale

Mutuum Finance (MUTM) has a fixed total supply of 4 billion tokens. Across all presale phases combined, around $19.45 million has already been generated, showing consistent demand over time. The current token price is $0.035, and more than 18,600 holders have already joined through the presale. In phase 6 alone, 98% of the 170 million tokens allocated are already sold out, signaling that availability at this price level is rapidly disappearing.

This presale is fully legitimate. The team has been active since early 2025 and has followed its roadmap with on-time delivery of key milestones. The upcoming launch of a fully functional lending and borrowing protocol, paired with steady organic community growth, clearly separates Mutuum Finance (MUTM) from the short-lived projects that dominate riskier corners of the market. As demand continues to build ahead of launch, the price is set to rise in upcoming phases. Early participants entering at $0.035 are positioning for returns that many analysts frame in terms of 200% to 400% growth, while more aggressive outlooks extend toward 15X or even 20X as adoption expands and utility comes online.

Another factor accelerating demand is accessibility. MUTM tokens can now be purchased using a card with no purchase limits, removing barriers that often slow down presale participation. This ease of entry supports the idea that Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is moving quickly toward wider exposure, making the current phase increasingly time-sensitive.

Ethereum (ETH)’s Strength—and Its Growth Limits Compared to MUTM

Ethereum (ETH) remains the backbone of decentralized finance, NFTs, and smart contracts. Its security, developer base, and liquidity are unmatched, which is why it continues to attract institutional attention and remains central to discussions around a crypto ETF. ETH offers stability and long-term confidence, but its scale also limits explosive upside. With such a large market cap, even strong adoption translates into slower percentage growth.

Mutuum Finance (MUTM), by contrast, is being built directly on DeFi lending and borrowing, one of Ethereum (ETH)’s most successful use cases, but at a much earlier valuation stage. The protocol will introduce a dual-model system. In the Peer-to-Contract model, lenders will pool assets like USDT, ETH and others into audited smart contracts. Interest rates will adjust dynamically based on pool usage, creating balance and efficiency. Depositors will receive mtTokens that represent their deposit and accrued interest, and these mtTokens will also be usable as collateral.

Bitcoin (BTC)’s Store-of-Value Role Versus MUTM’s Utility Growth

Bitcoin (BTC) continues to lead the market as a store of value. Its fixed supply narrative and institutional adoption have strengthened its reputation, especially as traditional investors explore crypto ETF exposure tied to BTC. However, Bitcoin (BTC)’s design prioritizes security and scarcity rather than active on-chain utility. That limits how value is generated beyond price appreciation.

Mutuum Finance (MUTM) takes a different approach by embedding value directly into platform activity. Alongside P2C lending, the protocol will introduce Peer-to-Peer lending for higher-risk or less liquid assets such as FLOKI, and TRUMP. These assets will be isolated from core liquidity pools, allowing lenders and borrowers to negotiate terms directly while preserving overall protocol stability.

The platform’s design also includes overcollateralization, liquidation mechanisms, and a stability factor that protects lenders during market volatility. Liquidity management, appropriate loan-to-value ratios, and liquidation thresholds ensure solvency even during sharp price movements. Lower-volatility assets like ETH and stablecoins will support higher LTVs, while riskier assets will face stricter limits. An independent audit by Halborn Security further reinforces trust by validating the protocol’s smart contracts before launch.

Beyond lending, the roadmap includes an overcollateralized stablecoin backed by assets such as ETH, SOL, or AVAX. Each mint and repayment will generate transactional demand, tying long-term usage directly to the ecosystem. Combined with staking, buybacks, and platform fees, this structure supports continuous demand rather than one-time hype.

Upcoming Protocol Launch Fuels MUTM Demand

Mutuum Finance (MUTM) disclosed on its official X channel that the V1 release of its protocol on the Sepolia Testnet in Q4 2025. This initial deployment will introduce the protocol’s core infrastructure, including the liquidity pool system, mtToken and debt-token mechanisms, and an automated liquidation bot designed to manage collateral risk and support stable platform operations. In this phase, users will be able to engage in lending and borrowing while using ETH or USDT as collateral.

Deploying V1 on the testnet enables early community access before the transition to mainnet. This controlled rollout promotes transparency, invites real user interaction, and allows the development team to gather actionable feedback for further refinement. As participation expands and the protocol gains visibility during testing, confidence in the ecosystem may strengthen, contributing to sustained interest and long-term demand for the MUTM token.

Finally, as presale phase 6 approaches full completion, the opportunity to enter Mutuum Finance (MUTM) at $0.035 is narrowing fast. For investors comparing mature giants like ETH and BTC against early-stage platforms with real utility, Mutuum Finance (MUTM) is increasingly standing out as the next big crypto before wider market recognition takes hold.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
