LINK Price Prediction as Chainlink Becomes the Gold Standard of the RWA Market

4 min read

Chainlink is starting to feel less like a typical altcoin story and more like an infrastructure story, and that shift is happening almost under the radar.

Based on Altcoin Buzz’s tweet, Chainlink’s CRE, or Runtime Environment, is now being used as the standard for delivery-versus-payment settlements by major banks like UBS and ANZ. That is a big step forward, because it pushes LINK beyond the “oracle token” label and into a much more serious role in how tokenized finance actually operates.

This is important because the RWA narrative is no longer just talk. The banks are moving parts of their operations onto the blockchain, and Chainlink is positioning itself right in the middle of that transition.

At face value, the price of the altcoin appears to be behaving as any other altcoin would. However, beneath the surface, things appear to be changing quite substantially for the altcoin.

The CRE is not just another technical upgrade. It is built to let institutions use blockchain systems without breaking their existing compliance and risk frameworks. In simple terms, it helps banks interact with blockchain in a way that feels familiar and reliable to them.

That is why the involvement of UBS and ANZ matters so much. These are not marketing partnerships. They indicate that Chainlink is becoming part of the actual infrastructure banks rely on.

As more real-world asset platforms and settlement systems go live, the need for a trusted coordination layer grows, and Chainlink is making a strong case to fill that role.

From an investment point of view, that changes the story behind the LINK price. Instead of trying to guess which RWA project will win, some traders may prefer exposure to the layer that supports all of them.

Altcoin Buzz calls Chainlink a “Value Bridge” for a market that could eventually reach $30 trillion. That number refers to the long-term potential of assets like bonds, stocks, and commodities moving on-chain.

With the LINK price hovering around $12.80, it does not look like a token that has been fully repriced for that kind of future yet.

The market still tends to treat LINK as a cycle-driven altcoin, even though its use case is slowly shifting toward something much more structural. That gap between what LINK does and how it is valued is what makes it interesting right now.

What sets Chainlink apart from other top coins is the fact that the usefulness of the project is not dependent on just one particular trend. Regardless of whether the current trends involve RWAs, DeFi, gaming, or stable coins, the need to have accurate information is the same.

That gives Chainlink a kind of durability that many projects lack. The LINK price will still move with the market, of course, but the protocol itself is not tied to being fashionable for just one cycle.

Chainlink is slowly turning into one of those projects that does the heavy lifting in the background while others grab the headlines. As more institutions move toward on-chain settlement, the value of reliable data and execution layers becomes harder to ignore.

For now, the LINK price still reflects a market that may not be fully pricing in that role. If Chainlink continues embedding itself deeper into institutional finance, that disconnect could start to close.
