Trump scrambles as GOP hawks seethe over emerging peace deal: ‘I don’t make bad deals!’

As the Trump administration reportedly nears a deal to end the U.S. war against Iran, a wave of criticism from right-wing figures has emerged, and on Sunday, President Donald Trump lashed out at those critics as “losers” who knew “nothing” about the ongoing negotiations.

“If I make a deal with Iran, it will be a good and proper one, not like the one made by Obama, which gave Iran massive amounts of CASH, and a clear and open path to a Nuclear Weapon,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social.

“Our deal is the exact opposite, but nobody has seen it, or knows what it is. It isn’t even fully negotiated yet. So don’t listen to the losers, who are critical about something they know nothing about. Unlike those before me who should have solved this problem many years ago, I don’t make bad deals!”

While negotiations between Washington and Tehran remain confidential, Iranian officials have shared details on the framework of their proposal with outlets such as Drop Site News, some of the provisions of which have drawn the scorn of right-wing figures such as Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

Laura Loomer, another right-wing figure and close ally to Trump, urged the president to walk away from a deal and “bomb the Iranian regime,” and on Sunday, claimed there to be “no such thing as peace with Muslims.”
